When we began looking for a new house in 2004, we called upon Candace Nordstrom to be our real estate agent and quickly discovered that she worked tirelessly to guide us towards exactly the kind of home we wanted. In just a few short weeks, armed with our “wish list” and budgetary constraints, she identified a townhome that turned out to be absolutely perfect. Once we knew what we wanted, she guided us through the complicated process of paperwork and financing, identifying an excellent mortage broker as well. Her goal was to keep the process as painless as possible and she succeeded completely.
By the time we had moved in to the new place, it was obvious that Candace was the perfect agent to engage in the sale of our old home. She organized the sales end of things every bit as well as she’d done the purchasing tasks. During the “show” period, where the house was displayed without furniture, the personal decorative touches, advice on positioning, and her own skilful techniques helped attract multiple offers over the original asking price. Needless to say, when we sold the place, we were absolutely thrilled with the final price and all the hard work Candace had put into the deal.
Working with Candace over the months that spanned the entire transaction, we appreciated her so much that we have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her as an agent for both purchase and sales. So full of energy and good cheer, even when working the long hours, she is a pure delight. But beyond that, she makes no mistakes, and when there is a technical or legal question that demands answers she is unable to supply immediately, she consults her senior manager at Coldwell Banker to ensure compliance and accuracy. In short, she knows what she doesn’t know, rather than guessing or doing anything that isn’t 100% correct.
But that was not all. After we purchased our new home, it was clear that a lot of work was required to renovate and repair, since the townhouse was nearly 40 years old with much of the original décor still present. We decided on a budget of approximately $50,000 to include landscaping, interior painting, kitchen replacement, plumbing replacement, electrical work, window replacement, and recarpeting/floor installation. The other requirement was that the entire renovation project would be completed within 6 weeks of the close of purchase. However, neither my wife nor I had the time, energy, or managerial expertise to coordinate between contractors and vendors. The solution was to find an appropriate project manager. Our own contribution to this extensive exercise was to choose Candace Nordstrom for the job. It might sound self-serving to congratulate ourselves on such a brilliant choice, but the real kudos belong to Candace. She provided us with timely estimates from several different contractors in each area requiring work. Her own background, along with that of her extremely competent and efficient husband Keith Nordstrom, allowed her to jump in with both feet and identify the best, most economical solutions within our overall budget.
While coordinating the contracts and vendors, Candace also used her decorative expertise to help us with the details of the design. Examples included helping to design the custom kitchen, color schemes for the interior paint and door trim, and other little things that are often overlooked during big picture modifications. During this period she often had to fax design modifications back and forth to the vendors, particularly the kitchen work, whose subtleties demanded close attention to measurement and detail. When all was said and done, it was these details that we would have otherwise perhaps missed, and her dedication and professionalism shone through.
On February 11, 2005, six weeks after the work commenced on our house, we moved in, and we were thrilled with everything that had been done. Candace and Keith had done a superb job, not only in making our new home just want we wanted, but also in keeping us informed as to progress, keeping immaculate records, and ensuring that we knew what our financial and time obligations were. All of this was done right on the heels of the Christmas holidays as well, during the rainy season in Northern California, where it is not always easy to get jobs done in a timely manner. That Candace was able to manage this project at the same time as helping us get set up for the sale of our old home is a testament to her ability to multitask, skillfully and cheerfully.
To sum up, we can’t think of a better real estate agent and project manager to work with than Candace Nordstrom. |

To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter on behalf of our realtor Candace Nordstom. When my husband and I began looking for our first home in May of 2004, we were actually just trying to get ideas of what was available in the Marin area. I was concerned about having a realtor because most of the ones I had met at open houses were a bit on the pushy side or did not seem interested in really
listening to our specific needs and wants in a home. Many seemed inexperienced just jumping into the real estate field due to record breaking house prices, or those who have been working for years that made us feel like they knew better then we did about what we should live in. When we first met Candace, I told my husband, "nobody can be that nice and real," but we gave her a chance. We were both shocked at her genuineness, her incredible high level of competence (she's a perfectionist), and her ability to make us feel like we were her only clients. We did not feel one once of pressure during the entire process, and her level of honesty is what impressed us the most. When we were on the fence about a house, she would honestly tell us, "I think we can find better," which made us realize it was not just about the sale for her. She would literally be at a house at 7 :00 a.m. in order to be the first realtor to see a place, and if she thought it was not a match for us, she would not let us waste our time. We never expected to find exactly what we were looking for only a few months into such a casual search, nor did we think we could afford Sausalito. We know we bought our home because we had a Realtor willing to fight for us as well as someone the other Realtors respected, liked and wanted to work with. I have told people since my home buying experience that they are missing out if they do not use Candace as a realtor and I could not say enough about her hard work and professionalism. If anyone would like further information please do not hesitate to call me. |

This is a letter of recommendation for Candace Nordstrom of Coldwell Banker. I met Candace over a few years ago when she hired me for design advice on a home purchased by herself, her husband, and her parents. To be honest I thought they were crazy. This house needed so much, I would have torn it down and started over. I gave them a few simple suggestions, and a year later they called and hired me to stage the home with furniture.
When I walked in, I couldn’t believe my eyes. They had done a spectacular job. This 50 + year old home was now, light, bright, open and suitable for a family with children. They had a construction budget and they stayed on their mark, allowing the most profit allowable to be made. I was very impressed with their whole team.
Candace called me a month later when she had sold a beautiful 4,000 square foot home in Tiburon. Her client was relocating from the East Coast and wanted the home designed and decorated before moving in. I put my design team to work and within two weeks had the house ready to shine for their arrival. During these two weeks, Candace was there every step of the way making sure her clients would be pleased with the process. She even hired her husband to paint the house and to do some light repairs so that the client would have a world of perfection in their home.
Working with Candace as a realtor was a treat. I had never met anyone with as much dedication and commitment in the real estate world. She really wanted her client to be excited the day they walked into their new home. From that point on, Candace and I started working very closely together.
Her perfectionism and organizational skills were impeccable. I really could use her on my team. My assistant begged for me to interview her for a position. I asked Candace to work for me several times, but she declined because she had a baby at home. She was emphatic about “being a mommy first”. I respected that, but kept pressuring her. Finally, I talked her into talking a laptop home and working out of her home to “organize my life”.
She has done just that. By working one day a week, my business is organized to the touch and I can now focus on expansion, rather than whether clients have been billed for their design work.
While working for me, I asked Candace some advise about renting out my Dad’s home in Paradise Cay. She gave her suggestions, but we needed a different profit line than the home would allow. Candace suggested selling the home and brought us all of the pertinent information that would make my whole family satisfied, all of us. Candace listed the home on Wednesday, and on Monday had an acceptable offer. She sold the home to an investor in Texas and did all of the communication for us. We literally accepted the price and she did all the rest. She was even there for all of the inspections. We were very impressed with how she worked with both sides of the transaction. She was discreet, professional, and alert of our very emotional family’s feelings.
Candace has also become a friend. She is pleasant to work with and very professional. Because she owned her own very successful business, she is the perfect person to bounce off new ideas or to ask for direction on very important business decisions. The thing I really like about Candace is her honesty and integrity. She never lets things go unsaid. If there is a challenge, Candace fixes the challenge “right here and right now”.
If you are looking to buy a home or to sell a home, I couldn’t suggest anyone more qualified to list or sell your home than Candace. She will be as committed to you as she has been to all of her happy clients. |

I want to express to you my sincere appreciation for the thorough and professional work of both Candace Nordstrom and Nazy Farhang of your office. Due the recent passing of my mother, I was placed in the difficult position of selling her residence. In seeking a realtor, I was looking for some of the very same qualities that my mother possessed, that being someone personable, down-to-earth and easy to speak with. With Candice and Nazy, I got that and much more. Candace and Nazy were there each step of the way, from marketing the property to the close of escrow. They made an emotionally difficult situation much easier for my entire family. I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work, candor and enthusiasm. Not only did the property sell, but we received multiple offers that resulted in accepting an offer way above the asking price. I would recommend the team of Candace & Nazy to anyone contemplating a sale of property in Marin County. You are both very fortunate to have Candace Nordstrom and Nazy Farhang working under the Coldwell Banker umbrella in Greenbrae.

We just wanted to thank you so much for helping us to locate such a beautiful home here in Sausalito. Our experience in working with you as our Real Estate Agent was nothing but pleasurable. You understood our special needs, our aesthetic desires, and the features that were important to us. You truly demonstrated that you understood our values, and our budget. You didn't spend time showing us things that were not truly viable for us for one reason or another, and you made suggestions along the way that lead us to the perfect new home. You met with us when it was convenient (both in the wee hours of the morning, and late at night); and that was what made the difference. When all was said and done, it took you less than a week to help us find a wonderful new residence- a great accomplishment! We look forward to our next house-hunting excursion after the birth of our new child. You are the best!

In August, 2001 I began the process of relocating from the east coast to begin a new job in San Francisco. Part ofthat process included the search for a new home for me and my fiancee. As part of my search I met Candace Nordstrom in December, 2001. With Candace's help I closed on our dream house in mid February 2002, and my fiancee and I happily moved into our home the first week of March. Candace did a fantastic job throughout this process. She listened to understand our needs and wants. She quickly created a short list, and then comfortably and efficiently showed us the offerings. From house hunting to selection, to closing we benefited from Candace's knowledge of the area, real estate transaction process and an incredible attention to detail and follow up. She worked hard and successfully in our best interests with all parties involved, to insure that everything was done in a timely and high quality manner. This letter is to highly recommend Candace Nordstrom as afirst class agent who can and will get the job done based on the customer. If we move again, without reservation we would seek Candace as our agent. |
